From performance to document

A draft you'll edit, not a score you'll frame
Composers know what the page should say, which makes them the best users of automatic transcription: the tool does the hours of note-entry, you do the minutes of correction. Free-meter and heavily pedalled writing need the most attention — how rubato transcribes and what pedal does to note lengths tell you exactly what to expect.

Automatic transcription is a first draft, not a finished score. The free 30-second preview exists so you can see exactly that on your own recording before paying anything.
Notation, not arrangement
It writes what was played — no chord symbols, lyrics or lead-sheet layout. Melody-plus-chords reduction stays with you.
Rubato writes literally
Free tempo becomes exact literal rhythm. For through-composed or rubato writing, plan a simplification pass.
One tempo and meter
Mixed-meter or tempo-changing pieces stay in a single grid; split or adjust in your notation app.
No pedal or dynamics marks
The score carries notes and rhythms. Pedal, dynamics and articulation are added in editing.
Dense textures mask notes
Thick chords and fast ornaments are where wrong or missing notes concentrate. The free preview shows it on your music.
Solo piano only
