For the cleanest score

Transcription is automatic, so the recording matters. Three habits make a real difference.

i.

Solo piano works best

Voice, drums or other instruments in the mix make the notes harder to read.

ii.

Record close to the instrument

A phone on the music stand is enough. Distance adds room echo.

iii.

Keep the room quiet

Background talk and TV sound get picked up as stray notes.

Questions, answered

How accurate is the transcription?

It depends on the recording. Solo piano recorded close to the instrument in a quiet room gives the cleanest scores. Dense pedaled passages, heavy reverb or other instruments in the mix can need small corrections, which you can make in any notation app using the MusicXML file.

What files do I get?

An engraved PDF on a grand staff, a MIDI file for your DAW or piano app, and a MusicXML file you can open in MuseScore, Sibelius or Dorico.

Which audio formats can I upload?

MP3, WAV, M4A and voice memos straight from your phone.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The first 30 seconds of every recording are transcribed for free, so you can check the result before you buy.

What happens to my recordings?

The audio is decoded and transcribed in your browser — it never reaches our servers. We only keep the generated files: one you don't buy is deleted after 24 hours, and one you buy stays available to download again for one year, then it is deleted.
