What the alternatives cost
A human transcriber charges by the minute of audio — commonly $25 or more per minute — so a three-minute piece quickly costs more than a year of the unlimited plan. The trade is real, though: a person hears the pedalling, the voicing and the intentions a machine guesses at. What transcription actually costs, line by line, goes through the numbers honestly, including when paying a person is worth it.
The other software options mostly sell subscriptions — a monthly payment that starts before you have heard a note of your own recording, and keeps running after the piece you wanted is done. Both models have their place. Ours is priced for the person who wants one piece on paper, and for the one who transcribes every week — not for someone in between being charged as if they were the second.
Either way, the comparison only matters after you have seen what the tool does with your audio. That is what the free 30 seconds are for, and the examples page shows real transcriptions, uncorrected, before you spend anything at all.

What you are not buying
A perfect score
Automatic transcription is a first draft. Dense pedalled passages, heavy reverb or several instruments at once will leave notes to correct — that is what the MusicXML is for.
Dynamics, repeats, articulation
The PDF writes out every note once, with no repeat marks, dynamics or fingering. Those you add when you proofread.
A subscription you did not want
The $4.99 option is a single payment, not a trial that turns into a plan. The $9.99 plan renews monthly and cancels from your account whenever you like.
In short: the transcription is automatic and the proofreading is yours. The MusicXML is included in every purchase precisely so a wrong note is seconds of work in a notation app — not a reason to start again.

Fourteen-day refund
If a purchase disappoints, email us within 14 days and it is refunded in full — the details are in the terms. Judging the free preview first is still the better path.
What we keep
A file you do not buy is deleted after 24 hours. A file you buy stays downloadable for one year. Your audio itself never leaves your device — only the detected notes are sent for engraving.
